Your family, friends and acquaintances serve as your own marketing department. Whatever goal you’re pursuing, it is difficult to shine when others are casting shadows over you.

A few things you should always remember are:

~Don’t be negative. Get it out of your system!
~Give compliments
~Look for chances to do favors for others.
~Be prompt in acknowledging favors done for you.
~Send a small gift, as significant as a handwritten note.
~When you give, give a little extra!

“Someone once told me, ‘Be nice to everybody. When someone’s a jerk, everyone hears about it.” – Joel McHale

Ah, the importance of your reputation! Think before you act or speak. Remember that you have a bigger plan and every action matters. The more prepared you are, the more confident you will be.
